Jason is a University of Rhode Island graduate with a degree in Chemical Engineering and works in the field of bio-therapeutics.  After living a largely sedentary lifestyle through high school, Jason began to focus more on living a more active lifestyle.

An avid gym-goer at the time, he found Tough Mudder races and Spartan Races in order to fulfill his competitive desire, and eventually found CrossFit in 2012.

Jason's first CrossFit experience was with the classic CrossFit Girl workout, Fran, in his parents' backyard, where he and friend/fellow-coach Brian performed their pull-ups on a homemade salmon ladder.  Left defeated and breathing fire, he was immediately hooked.  After outfitting his basement as a gym, Jason taught himself the basics of CrossFit and Olympic lifting before joining a local gym in Massachusetts and finally obtaining his   Level 1 certification in May 2014.  After moving back home to RI in 2016, he immediately joined OSCF where he has continued to grow and improve as an athlete. Now his love for competition keeps him in the gym and involved in local competitions throughout New England.
